Rates
Electrical rates, not tiling's
Fit-off, rough-in and switchboard work each carry their own rate, with separate linear rates for cable runs, containment and commissioning. Set them once and every quote starts from your numbers.
Built for electrical
An electrician signing up for Scopeflow gets electrical rate fields. Fit-off, rough-in, switchboard and specialty work, cable runs, containment and commissioning, with a compliance allowance of its own. Nothing on the form says tile.
Electricians in Australia charge roughly $80-$150 per hour, with a licensed Grade A residential electrician typically $90-$140 per hour in capital cities, plus a call-out fee of $70-$130 covering the first 15-30 minutes on site (source: Built Simple's 2026 electrician pricing guide).
Electrical work carries real after-hours and weekend loading, and a call-out that exists whether the job takes ten minutes or two hours. A quote built on one flat number hides both.
What you get
Rates
Fit-off, rough-in and switchboard work each carry their own rate, with separate linear rates for cable runs, containment and commissioning. Set them once and every quote starts from your numbers.
Compliance
Testing, certification and compliance get their own rate and their own allowance rather than disappearing into a labour figure nobody can defend later.
Hourly
Set your hourly rate, your minimum job price and your margin. Short call-outs price properly instead of being quoted at a loss.
Multi-area
Add each area or circuit group as its own space with its own measurements. One combined quote and one combined schedule.
Acceptance
Send the quote by email with an acceptance link, and watch it move through the pipeline instead of chasing it by phone.
Output
GST handled correctly, your licence number on the document, formatted properly and emailed straight to the client.
Your rate fields
Pick Electrical in your profile and the pricing fields become Fit-off works ($/m²), Rough-in works ($/m²), Switchboard / specialty ($/m²), Testing / prep ($/m²), Cable runs ($/lm), Containment / trims ($/lm), Commissioning / test ($/lm), a compliance allowance, and a materials allowance. Alongside them sit your hourly rate, minimum job price, margin, GST treatment, payment terms and quote validity.
The job type list changes with it: Residential fit-off, Commercial rough-in, Switchboard upgrade, Lighting package, Data and power upgrade. Every field arrives with a starting number in it. They are a starting point to overwrite with your real rates, not a claim about what you should charge.
Add each area or circuit group as its own space. Fit-off, rough-in and switchboard scope measured separately, cable and containment metres alongside them, all rolled into one quote.
Material list
Every quote generates a schedule of what you measured, named the way electricians name it. Each measured area with its waste percentage applied, your prep area, every linear run, and your estimated hours. It is grouped, copy-ready, and can be emailed to your supplier from inside the app. Save your own supplier prices under My Prices and they get matched against it, so the figures are yours rather than a guess at the market.
What it does not do yet, plainly: it will not convert your measurements into specific products and quantities. Tiling gets tile counts, adhesive and grout bags, membrane and levelling clips. Painting gets litres of paint at real coverage rates. Electricians do not have that product-level takeoff yet, because doing it properly means real electrician-specific rules rather than tiling's with the labels changed. It is the next thing we build for a trade once someone in it is actually using Scopeflow. Everything else on this page is live today.
