Rates
Concreting rates, not tiling's
Slab and flatwork, formed and suspended works, and decorative finishes each carry their own rate per m², with separate linear rates for sawcuts, formwork edges and sealing.
Built for concrete
A concreter signing up for Scopeflow gets concreting rate fields. Slab and flatwork, form and suspended works, decorative and exposed finishes, sawcut and joint detail, formwork edges, sealing and cure, with a pump and prep allowance of its own.
A standard concrete slab in Australia costs roughly $75-$110 per m², averaging around $103 per m², with plain concrete at the low end and exposed aggregate or stamped decorative finishes running $120-$200 and above per m² (source: ServiceSeeking's 2026 concrete slab cost guide).
The same slab prices three different ways depending on the finish the client picks. A concreting quote needs to hold plain, coloured and exposed-aggregate pricing side by side, not pick one and hope.
What you get
Rates
Slab and flatwork, formed and suspended works, and decorative finishes each carry their own rate per m², with separate linear rates for sawcuts, formwork edges and sealing.
Finishes
Decorative and exposed finishes get their own rate, so a client choosing a finish changes a line on the quote rather than the whole number.
Base prep
Record base prep area and slab thickness on each pour, so the prep that actually happens is on the quote instead of absorbed.
Multi-pour
Driveway, path and shed slab. Add each as its own space with its own measurements and get one combined quote.
Crew hours
Record crew hours per pour against your hourly rate, alongside the measured work rather than instead of it.
Output
GST handled correctly, your licence number on the document, formatted properly and emailed straight to the client.
Your rate fields
Pick Concrete in your profile and the pricing fields become Slab / flatwork ($/m²), Form / suspended works ($/m²), Decorative / exposed finish ($/m²), Base prep ($/m²), Sawcut / joint detail ($/lm), Formwork edges ($/lm), Sealing / cure ($/lm), a pump and prep allowance, and a concrete / steel allowance. Alongside them sit your hourly rate, minimum job price, margin, GST treatment, payment terms and quote validity.
The job type list changes with it: House slab package, Driveway pour, Commercial flatwork, Path and crossover works, Decorative concrete finish. Every field arrives with a starting number in it. They are a starting point to overwrite with your real rates, not a claim about what you should charge.
Add each pour as its own space. Slab area, formed works and decorative finish measured separately, with base prep area and slab thickness recorded alongside them.
Material list
Every quote generates a schedule of what you measured, named the way concreters name it. Each measured area with its waste percentage applied, your prep area, every linear run, and your estimated hours. It is grouped, copy-ready, and can be emailed to your supplier from inside the app. Save your own supplier prices under My Prices and they get matched against it, so the figures are yours rather than a guess at the market.
What it does not do yet, plainly: it will not convert your measurements into specific products and quantities. Tiling gets tile counts, adhesive and grout bags, membrane and levelling clips. Painting gets litres of paint at real coverage rates. Concreters do not have that product-level takeoff yet, because doing it properly means real concreter-specific rules rather than tiling's with the labels changed. It is the next thing we build for a trade once someone in it is actually using Scopeflow. Everything else on this page is live today.
